Bizarre anti nuclear claims.

UPDATE - a rather good article on the hype is appearing now in TIME.

How Bad Was Fukushima?

...Yet there’s something about nuclear power that seems to make the media and others go straight to the worst-case scenario — without pausing to evaluate how likely it really is....

...we are lucky that Fukushima didn’t turn out to be worse than it was. But the more we learn about it, the more it seems that the odds were always in our favor..

(to be combined with anti nuclear/Fukushima radiation hype posts)

It was bad enough without exaggeration and we are fortunate that exposures to radiation were few and comparatively low.  Not that much of it ever resembled reality or science, but as the Fukushima hype has continued on, without a grounding in reason and science some of the claims have been and are getting outlandish and distressing. Ive already covered a few - here are some of the more amusing ones:

Massive Hydrovolcanic Explosion Inevitable at Fukushima

On September 20, 2011, Hiroaki Koide, assistant professor at Kyoto University’s Research Reactor Institute, estimated that material from the nuclear fuel rods may be twelve meters deep underground at reactors one and three.

If the fuel reaches an underground water source, Haruo explained, it will result in the contamination of water, soil and the sea. More catastrophic, underground super-heated water will ultimately create a massive hydrovolcanic explosion.

Although media in Japan and the alternative media have covered this story over the last few days, it has been uniformly ignored by the corporate media.

The World is Powerless Against Fukushima Fallout

-- High-energy interactions of xenon gas (which decays into cesium) with incoming solar flares and artificial electromagnetic belts created by U.S., NATO and Russian missile-defense shields (this synergy is visible in the northern lights that emit a deep green color due to the excitation of xenon, and it is no coincidence that three American nuclear power plants were incapacitated during the recent solar flare)

One Year After Fukushima – Defining and Classifying a Disaster

The contamination will affect Japan for decades, studies in Belarus found that in 2000, 14 years after the Chernobyl disaster, fewer than 20 percent of children were considered “practically healthy,” compared to 90 percent before Chernobyl.

Is Fukushima Radiation Responsible for Mysterious Alaskan Seal Deaths?

It should be no surprise that Fukushima radiation is killing animals in the Pacific, as peer-reviewed research has already linked Fukushima radiation to the deaths of over 14,000 humans. In fact, 130 seal deaths is most likely only the beginning. It will surely not be long before an increased death toll is reported not only for ring seals, but other creatures dwelling in the Pacific and near the Fukushima disaster as well.

Secret US-Israeli Nuke Transfers Led To Fukushima Blasts

The Japanese nuclear developers, under the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, had no choice but to enrich the uranium cores at Fukushima No.1, a location remote enough to evade detection by nonproliferation inspectors. Hitachi and GE had developed a laser extraction process for plutonium, which requires vast amounts of electrical power. This meant one reactor had to make unscheduled runs, as was the case when the March earthquake struck.

Prestigious doctor: US nuclear 'Baby valley of death,' Millions to die (video)

Sunday, the prestigious Doctor Mark Sircus released a new report concurring with a host of scientists and other doctors giving evidence that people of Japan and United States have been subjected to dangerous levels of radiation since Fukushima nuclear plant meltdowns

Radiation war intensifies with HAARP tornadoes in USA –

In an exclusive interview with Alfred Lambremont Webre on April 17, 2011, independent scientist Leuren Moret has stated that the radiation war against the populations of the United States, Canada, and Mexico has intensified with the intentional distribution of radiation from the March 11, 2011 Fukushima event

  1. that was just fluff - but fun reading. Ill move it out of the way in a bit.
